Born into privilege and opulence, Venus Deathrap longed for nothing throughout most of her life. However, as the black sheep of her royal, influencer family of famous ballerinas, she rebelled by becoming a pirate. Mocked by her sisters for being a “lesbian” and feeling outcast, she filled the void by working as a mercenary and robbing indiscriminately. Her only true companions were her Honey Helpers, small aliens that worked back at her family’s garden with both organic and mechanical healing abilities.

Venus’s life began to unravel when she started working for family friend, Sphagnum Mossk the Third - a wealthy inventor. Initially hired by him to eliminate the crew of the Orange Dreamsicle, she successfully drove The Pink Guillotine and Starfly into retreat. After they confronted her for sending a man to their ship’s dyke bar during her reconnaissance mission, she callously murdered 0R4NG3-DRMSCL3 in front of them. Expecting to gain Mossk’s approval and become his official girlfriend, she was disappointed to find he was running for senator on her planet and didn’t want a public affair.

Meanwhile, Starfly and The Pink Guillotine were working with a reporter to expose Mossk’s secret involvement in sex trafficking. The reporter infiltrated Venus’s ship, revealing Mossk’s true intentions (he would never be leaving his wife) and his family’s involvement in the secret colonization of her planet, of which her family happily obliged for a large sum of money. The reporter also showed Venus that she was the last of her kind, capable of birthing nebulas through her dancing. Her sisters had always known and were jealous, fearing her potential. Instead of killing the mousy reporter, Venus was impressed with her cunning and fell in love. And got angry.

Just when it seemed like Mossk’s plans would be realized, Venus interrupted his climactic battle with Starfly and The Pink Guillotine, ordering her Honey Helpers to revive 0R4NG3-DRMSCL3. Turning the tide, she delivered a coup de grâce with a death drop so fierce, it birthed a powerful nebulaic blast in the middle of the field. Weakened, nothing stood in the way for her to finally corner Mossk and snap his neck.
